Board of Directors, Frank Smith, Chris CeBallos, Emma Trevino and Supervisor Liaison Tom Kiker attended the TMPA conference in Dallas.

The conference was very impressive and a learning experience for all. Plus it allowed the Board to meet new people within TMPA and law enforcement agencies throughtout Texas.

As a result several members within TMPA asked Chris CeBallos to run for the TMPA Board of Directors for Region 10 which encompasses all of Tarrant County.  Chris ran against one other opponent but won the election and now sets on the Board of Directors for TMPA.

So what does this mean?  First the Board of Director is an unpaid elected position. Directors volunteer to help with the mission of TMPA and to help police officers within their regions and throughout Texas as needed. This will allow our assoication to become more involved with other law enforcement agencies at the local and state level and give us a wider network.

The next TMPA conference will be sometime next year in Austin Texas and we would like to send some of our members to the conference. So watch for your TMPA newsletter for dates.
